Pastor Derek has faithfully served as the Lead Pastor of Magnolia Baptist Church since being called to the position in 2024. Prior to becoming Lead Pastor, Derek dedicated 15 years to student ministry, investing in the spiritual growth and discipleship of young people and helping them build a strong foundation in their faith.
With a heart for preaching God's Word and shepherding His people, Derek is passionate about leading the church to grow in its relationship with Jesus Christ, engage in authentic community, and fulfill the mission of making disciples. His ministry is marked by a commitment to biblical truth, compassionate leadership, and a desire to see lives transformed by the Gospel.
Derek is blessed to share life and ministry with his wife, Meagan, whose partnership and support have been an integral part of their journey in serving the local church. Together, they are the proud parents of two sons, Deakon and Judah. Family plays a central role in their lives, and they are committed to modeling Christ-centered values both at home and within the church community.
As Lead Pastor, Derek's vision is to see Magnolia Baptist Church become a place where people of all ages can encounter God's love, grow in their faith, and use their gifts to serve others for the glory of God.

Aaron Shores serves as the Worship Pastor of Magnolia Worship, where he leads with a deep passion for Christ-centered worship and a heart for serving the local church. Aaron is dedicated to creating meaningful worship experiences that draw people into the presence of God, encourage spiritual growth, and proclaim the truth of Scripture through music.
I believe that worship should be authentic, biblically grounded, and focused entirely on glorifying God. His desire is to lead worship that inspires believers to grow in their faith and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Aaron is blessed to serve alongside his wife, who faithfully ministers with him as part of the worship team. Together, they share a passion for leading others in worship and helping cultivate an atmosphere where people can encounter God and respond to His love. They are also the proud parents of three children, and family remains at the center of their ministry and faith journey.

Parker serves as the Student Pastor at Magnolia Baptist Church, where he is passionate about helping students grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop a lifelong commitment to following Jesus Christ. He was called to serve at Magnolia in 2024 and has embraced the opportunity to invest in the next generation with enthusiasm and genuine care.
Parker has a heart for seeing students discover their identity in Christ and understand how God's Word applies to their everyday lives. Through Bible teaching, discipleship, fellowship, and outreach, he strives to create an environment where students feel welcomed, encouraged, and challenged to grow spiritually.
He is joined in ministry by his wife, Breonna, who shares his love for serving and supporting the church. Together, they are committed to building relationships with students and families while helping create a strong, Christ-centered student ministry.
Parker's desire is for every student who walks through the doors of Magnolia Baptist Church to know they are loved, valued, and created with a purpose. He considers it a privilege to walk alongside students as they grow in their relationship with Christ and learn to live out their faith with confidence.

Meagan serves as the Children's Director at Magnolia Baptist Church, a role she began in 2024. With a passion for helping children learn about God's love and grow in their faith, Meagan is committed to creating a fun, safe, and Christ-centered environment where every child feels welcomed, valued, and encouraged.
As both a ministry leader and a mother, Meagan understands the importance of building a strong spiritual foundation in the lives of children. She is dedicated to partnering with families as they disciple their children and helping young hearts discover the truth of God's Word in meaningful and engaging ways.
Meagan is blessed to share life and ministry with her husband, Derek, and their two sons, Deakon and Judah.  Meagan's heart is for every child who comes through the doors of Magnolia to know that they are deeply loved by God, created with purpose, and an important part of His family. She considers it a joy and privilege to help children take their first steps in a lifelong journey of faith.

Wanda Thompson serves as the Church Secretary at Magnolia Baptist Church, providing administrative support and helping keep the daily ministries of the church running smoothly. With a welcoming spirit and a heart for service, Wanda enjoys connecting with church members and visitors while supporting the mission and ministry of Magnolia Baptist Church. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the church family and be part of all God is doing through Magnolia.
